Warranty Coverage

Warranty coverage applies only to services specifically advertised or sold with a stated warranty period.

The length and scope of warranty coverage may vary depending on the following factors:

  • The type of pest being treated

  • The treatment method used

  • Property conditions

  • Environmental factors

  • Ongoing prevention measures

  • Compliance with our recommendations

Any applicable warranty period and coverage details will be confirmed during quotation, booking, or service delivery.

Conditions of Warranty

To remain eligible for warranty coverage, customers must:

  • Pay all invoices in full by the due date

  • Follow any pest prevention recommendations provided by Apex Pest Solutions

  • Allow reasonable access for inspections and follow-up visits if required

  • Notify Apex Pest Solutions promptly if pest activity returns during the warranty period

  • Maintain acceptable hygiene, sanitation, and property maintenance standards relevant to the pest being treated.

Failure to meet these conditions may result in warranty coverage being limited, suspended, or voided.

What Is Covered

Where applicable, warranty coverage may include:

  • Follow-up inspections

  • Additional treatment of the original target pest

  • Retreatment of affected areas where ongoing activity is confirmed

  • Advice and recommendations to support long-term pest prevention

Warranty coverage is limited to the original pest species specified on the service report, quotation, or invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing by Apex Pest Soltuions.

What Is Not Covered

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, warranty coverage does not include:

  • New infestations occurring after treatment

  • Different pest species than those originally treated

  • Pest activity originating from neighbouring properties

  • Pest activity resulting from structural defects, building damage, or construction work

  • Poor sanitation, clutter, waste accumulation, or hygiene-related conditions

  • Failure to follow treatment preparation or aftercare instructions

  • Damage caused by weather events, flooding, earthquakes, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

  • Reinfestation caused by factors outside the treated area

These exclusions help ensure warranty coverage remains fair, practical, and focused on factors that Apex Pest Solutions can reasonably control.

Retreatments

If pest activity is reported during an applicable warranty period, Apex Pest Solutions may:

  • Assess the reported activity

  • Conduct a follow-up inspection

  • Determine the likely cause of the activity

  • Carry out a treatment where warranty conditions have been met

A warranty claim does not automatically guarantee a retreatment.

Each claim will be assessed based on treatment history, site conditions, and compliance with any recommendations provided by Apex Pest Solutions.

Commercial Services

Commercial pest management programmes may include service-level agreements, scheduled maintenance plans, or specific warranty provisions.

Where a commercial service agreement exists, the terms of that agreement will take precedence over this policy to the extent of any inconsistency.

Limitation of Liability

No pest control treatment can guarantee the permanent elimination of pests under all circumstances.

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Apex Pest Solutions' liability is limited to the value of the service provided and any applicable retreatment obligations outlined in this policy.

Apex Pest Solutions is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from pest activity, reinfestation, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand legislation.

Where services are provided to consumers, this Warranty Policy operates in addition to your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer protection laws.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
